November 13th was the 85th birthday of former UN Secretary General Boutros-Boutros Ghali.

Better known than perhaps any other Secretary General of recent years, he is the only major UN figure to have an Icelandic football team named after him as well as having cropped up in myriad comedy routines from QI to Seinfeld and David Letterman.
